I’ve always been promoted Cares cause lord KNOWS testing should be accessible, and they truly make it so. I formerly worked as a resident assistant at a nearby college and it was genuinely so comforting to know we had something like this so close by that I always made sure to let students know of regardless of if they’d go themself!! I’ve only needed to go there a handful of times and every time they were so kind, comforting, and welcoming. Never felt judged or awkward while I was there. All my love to y’all 🫶

If anybody reading this review thinks they need HIV testing or care, this is the facility! I’ve only received care from Iridescent Health located in CARES wellness, so I can’t speak on the facility as a whole, but the experience I’ve had receiving longer-term care at Iridescent Health has far exceeded any expectations of a typical level of care from a healthcare facility. If you’ve had medical trauma and are apprehensive of doctors, you can rest assured that the Iridescent team not only has your best interests at heart, but believes in informed consent and will work with you towards a healthcare plan that is sustainable and works with you. I feel comfortable talking with any member of staff. They remember things about me, and I about them. They will go out of their way to make sure I’m comfortable, and let me know at each step of the way what’s happening at my appointment. They send appointment reminders in advance, and offer services and resources at my appointments far beyond the bare minimum. Vanessa and Love, the NP and nurse, floor me with the level of meticulous, intentional care they put into their work. My fantastic caseworker Justin checks in with me between appointments

Big shout out to Raymond (AKA the King of Blood Drawing)! I have uncommonly deep, rolling veins that have puzzled more phlebotomists than I can count, and most of my blood draws take 2-3 attempts by even the most experienced medical professionals (and let me tell you, there are some horror stories). So when I went in, I was expecting it to take a few different attempts (ouch) and a decent wait time. But Raymond got the job done in seconds on a small, rolling vein--first try, no sweat. He was also very knowledgeable and passionate about his work, which made the whole experience enjoyable. I also want to shout out Francis, a fellow Aldi afficionado who gave great moral support and clearly has a bright future (as well as a bright present, I'm sure!). And at the end of it all? They gave me oreos. But for real, the staff was warm and welcoming, with great bedside manner. I feel like it must be hard to balance the clean, professional feel of a clinic with a warm, welcoming tone, but they did a great job. I feel glad to be part of a community that has the good folks at CARES on our side! (By the way, I found this in the parking lot on the way out figured it must belong to Raymond: 👑)

0 call, text, or email that i have from them when they canceled my appointment. Claimed the neighborhood was poorly cleaned, yet i live in the neighborhood and it was fine. I typically love this place. Not sure what’s going on with the manager Braedon or the staff. Maybe I’ll reschedule later if I feel like they care about clients the way they used to. They also said some testing costed w/o insurance but can’t be transparent on pricing. Not a good look.

Aidan Segers is my medical case worker and he is phenomenal! When I tell you this man fights for me as if I’m a Medicare yt male in Hollywood. In this scenario Aidan is my Hollywood Agent and Lawyer and he’s fights and advocates for me, especially when I can’t! Aidan holds such a special place in my heart this man has gone above and beyond for me so many times! He’s even worked with a commissioner to help me!

Aidan Seegars is my medical case worker. I don't know if I'd be alive today with all of Aidans CARE and support! Keegan Zoll is a phenomenal manager! JaShaea is so helpful and insightful on site but she's the housing resource at CARES! The Executive Director, Keegan, Aidan and a KZOO Commissioner did something beyond the scope of their actual job and it changed my life and helped me sooooo much! I love CARES, if you are reading this, its your sign to contact them! They will protect and take care of you!

Wow! I went in during their walk in hours (1-5 TR) and was taken right in. Everything was perfectly explained. They don’t try to preach to you. 5 different options for testing for absolutely free. Counselor (Cory) was personable and very assistive. This is the third place like this I’ve been to and I never want to go anywhere else. Used to dread this kind of thing but I actually had a fun time believe it or not. Amazing that they do this for the community.
